BORA BORA, BLOODY MARY'S RESTAURANT - MODIFICATION OF CLOSING AND TRANSFER DAYS
The Bloody Mary's restaurant is now closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The free transfer days for Pearl Beach Resort guests are accordingly changed to Monday, Wednesday and Friday (instead of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).

PURE SNORKELING FROM REEF DISCOVERY BORA BORA - UPDATE
The half-day “100% Free-diving” excursion is available as a regular tour in the morning only. The private tour is available for departures in the morning and in the afternoon.
The morning light offers the best visibility so you can get the most out of your free-diving session, and see rays and fish in the coral gardens. We therefore strongly recommend the regular tour, operated in the morning.

Shuttles between the two hotels no longer complimentary. Effective January 1st, 2012, clients staying on the Marara Part who wish to go over the Private Island to enjoy the look out, the beach or the coral garden will have to pay a charge of 8.4 Euro per person for round-trip shuttle boat. This new policy is set to guarantee the exclusivity and privacy of the clients staying at the Private Island. It does not affect the latter who can continue to take advantage of complimentary round trip transfers upon request to the main island all day long.
About the Resort: One resort, two hotels, two experiences. Located on the edge of a beautiful white sand beach, the Marara is the in-land part of the resort. The Private Island is the exclusive part of this hotel.

MAJOR FACELIFT SCHEDULED FOR THE PAUL GAUGUIN CRUISE SHIP
After 14 years of loyal service in the waters of the South Pacific, the Paul Gauguin will benefit from a major facelift in January 2012. The project will last three weeks. Work will particularly focus on the hotel zone: the suites and cabins will be going through a complete makeover, the casino expanded, a large dance floor installed, restaurants and bars revamped, wireless Internet connection (WiFi) throughout the ship including the cabins.
THE SPECTACULAR TRANSIT OF VENUS IN TAHITI
A rare and important phenomenon will occur in the beginning of June 2012: Venus will pass exactly between the Earth and the Sun, crossing the disk of the Solar Star. After an 8-year hiatus, we will get the chance to live the last transit of Venus of our century, the next one being planned in 2117. The best transit-entire-visibility viewpoints will be in the Pacific, between Tahiti and Japan! Therefore, we encourage you to make plans now to visit Tahiti for this great astronomical event! From the end of May to mid-June 2012, Tahiti and more specifically Venus Point on the East coast of the island will be the international center of historical commemoration, cultural and scientific exchanges on the transit of Venus.

"STOCK TOUT", meaning stock everything, is the first self-storage company in Tahiti. This brand new company offers a department dedicated to visitors for a Luggage Storage Service. The warehouse is protected 24 hours a day by a security company. The organization also offers a pick-up and drop-off service. Stock Tout have established a flat rate of 1,200 XPF (approximately $13-$14 USD) per day for 1-2 pieces of luggage – all taxes included. Additional luggage is 600 XPF (approximately $6-$7 USD) per piece. Visit their website for additional information!

This is a friendly reminder that for all tickets issued on or after July 1st, 2011, Air Tahiti Nui's checked baggage policy has changed as follows:
Per person, one (1) free checked bag of 50lbs / 23kg for economy passengers and two (2) free checked bags of 70lbs / 32kg for business and first class passengers will apply.

Changes in policies for through-checked (interline) baggage: Passengers with two separate connecting tickets, will be required to claim and re-check bags at connecting cities and pay individual airlines' applicable fees. Through-checked baggage between two different airlines will only be possible if all flights are issued on the same ticket and an interline baggage agreement exist, in accordance with IATA resolution 302. Consequently, for the passenger's convenience, we recommend that all flights be issued on one ticket using Air Tahiti Nui add-ons provided with your net contracts.
